Kelley Smith
A shortage of free time doesn't stop Kelley Smith from living life to the fullest. In fact, Kelley has learned to master the skill of doing multiple things at once. She's a hard-working professional by day, an incredibly dedicated (and proud!) Mom to two kids always, and she still makes time to see the rest of her family, including five siblings (four sisters and one brother)—all of whom live in the Portland area.
Kelley's life might sound like a juggling act, but she puts effort into keeping a healthy balance. She was even inspired to start a networking group for working parents like herself. It's called Working Professionals Playdate, and it's a way for parents and kids to get together after work hours and on the weekends to relax and enjoy quality time together. The parents appreciate having some grown-up conversations and social time, and the kids love it, too. For Kelley, seeing the group flourish has been extremely satisfying.
Being a natural go-getter has been a boon for Kelley's professional life. She came to Rose City Mortgage with over a decade of experience in the industry. Early in her career, she worked as a receptionist, and it wasn't long before she was promoted to be an assistant for a loan officer. That job taught her about every aspect of the business, so making the leap to being a loan officer was a natural next step.
When Kelley gets playtime, she enjoys taking her daughters to their favorite hangout: the Oregon Zoo. And in the summertime, there are plenty of trips to the beach. In fact, just about anything outdoors will do. The most exciting play date of all, however, will be a family trip to a Disney destination. Kelley says, "The girls and I would like to go on a Disney Cruise for a week!"
