Bubbly and energetic, Kansas is, without a doubt, a people person, and she's always seeking out positive people and the experiences that come along with them. That goes for when she's working, too. "I'm not just looking to make money and move on. I want to help people make good financial decisions, so they can walk away and feel good about what they did. I especially love working with younger borrowers—I relate to them well and sometimes they need creative solutions, so it's a welcome challenge."
Social responsibility and "being green" are two of the aspects that drew Kansas to Rose City Mortgage. Each mortgage transaction yields a donation to charity, and that makes it so much more meaningful. "It's not like one of those dreary offices where everyone is just sitting at their computers, working away. There's so much positive energy here."
The Callaway crew is a tight-knit bunch. Kansas and her siblings, one of whom also happens to be her roommate, spend plenty of time hanging out together. Family is the most important thing to Kansas and she feels blessed to be part of such a close, loving and supportive bunch. Spending time with friends is another big priority. Depending on the day, you might find Kansas and her pals camping and rafting on the Deschutes River or dancing until late at a show at the one of the many local music venues.
Connecting with similar minded young professional and active women is what inspired Kansas to start the Young Women's Networking Group of Portland. "It's a great way to be a part of the community, exchanges ideas, and to support one another in our endeavors."
Whether you're buying your first home or your fifteenth, Kansas Callaway is always ready to help. Call her at or e-mail Kansas@rosecitymtg.com.
