Jen had the ability to lead people early in life. Her kindergarten teacher wrote on her report card that "Jen is a natural leader but she talks too much to other students in class." It seems she wanted to do things her way from the very beginning. After 9 years in the United States Navy she learned she could indeed conquer any challenge she was faced with. An electrician by designation she spent time aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy. Sailing the seas of the Atlantic, Caribbean and the Persian Gulf put a good amount of swagger in her step. "This was a challenging experience and today I'm a stronger person because of it." says Jen. By the end of her military career Jen was in charge of instructing over 200 Naval Reservists.
For her first year in the Mortgage Industry, Jen worked as a Loan Processor, helping her learn the core of the business. She was a processing machine easily closing 40 loans a month for other loan officers, as well as her own loans. Always ready for a new challenge, Jen then decided to make the leap to full-time Loan Officer in September of 2005. Her first month out of the gate she was Top Producer - since then she has never looked back.
When she's not working, Jen gets her adrenaline pumping with extreme sports like snowboarding, wakeboarding and working with horses. Jen is a dedicated horse enthusiast. She even adopted a wild Mustang, Tracer, from the Bureau of Land Management. "He was as wild as a deer when I got him and I made it my goal to ride him within 30 days of adopting him. I rode him on the 21st day," says Jen. Rather than using intimidation and mechanical devices to control horses, Jen uses unconventional methods that focus on psychology and body language. "I rely on love, language and leadership through Parelli Natural Horsemanship to communicate with my horses. They love me and respect me more for making an effort to really understand them."
I think you will find that Jen's love, language & leadership overflows into the Mortgage Business. She takes her job very personally and has immense pride in every transaction. What you may notice is that she is humble and excited to learn new things. Every day she strives to be better than the day before. Her clients usually love her to pieces and there's a good chance you will, too!
