Opens First Branch
Three new associates recently opened Rose City Mortgage Specialists' first branch office. The threesome, mortgage brokers Bill Pruitt and Ken Pruitt and loan processor Virginia Adams are in business at 26950-B NE Bell Rd. in Newberg, which is also home to REMC Properties. As real estate brokers and mortgage professionals, they provide their clients comprehensive home services.
The new branch expands Rose City Mortgage Specialists' commitment to helping home buyers throughout the Portland area.
Rose City's Newberg branch associates specialize in helping first-time home buyers in the area's hot real estate market.
The real estate market has been a seller's market for the past two years with appreciation reaching 15-30 percent in some areas. "It's difficult for first-time home buyers to make an offer and acquire lending, especially if they have no down payment, bad credit or excessive debt," Bill Pruitt says.
Working with clients from the Tri-County area and Yamhill County, this threesome has been successful in the mortgage lending and real estate business for many years. The Pruitt brothers saw the opportunity to affiliate with Rose City Mortgage as a way to give more people the opportunity to own a home and gain equity.
The two brothers, who live in Newberg, say their greatest satisfaction comes from helping people who do not think they can own a home.
Recently, Bill Pruitt helped Mike Burke, a divorced father, buy a home in a well-maintained Newberg subdivision. Burke says Pruitt helped simplify the process with his expertise in real estate and mortgage lending. Burke now refers family and friends to Pruitt. "I never thought I could buy a home this easy," Burke says. "If people only knew that is not as difficult as they might think, there would be more first-time buyers out there, instead of thinking that they need to save half their life before they can buy."
