Anne Viola grew up in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, dreaming of a life near the sea. That dream came true in 2005 when she moved to Portland. She appreciates Portland's small town feeling with big city offerings. "Portland has a mountain town feeling," says the Colorado native. Now, when Anne needs a snow fix, she loads up the snow shoes and heads to Mt. Hood. And of course for her sea fix, she and her partner make frequent trips to the beach with their daughter and husky/shepherd mix, Ishai.
Anne is passionate about sports, soccer in particular. She began playing soccer at age five, but stopped around her junior year in high school. Ten years later, while coaching a team for nine-year-old boys, Anne's feet began to itch again for the feel of cleats and the adrenalin rush of scoring goals. She joined a women's league and has been kicking her way around the West ever since. As fate would have it, soccer also brought Anne together with her life partner in 2004, after they met at a soccer tournament in Seattle.
When she is not playing soccer or chasing her daughter around, Anne volunteers as an Executive Board Member (Treasurer) for the Q-Center, helping to raise funds and support Oregon's GLBTQ. Additionally, Anne and her dog volunteer at a local school and public library through a pet assisted therapy program. She is also a proud sponsor of Portland's lesbian dragon boat team, the Amazon Dragons Paddling Club and Girl Play, a Rose City Softball Association team.
Anne is a Portland Area Business Association (PABA) member and she enjoys working with the gay and lesbian community. She especially likes helping first time homebuyers and those who find the process of buying a home nerve-wracking.
With a background in accounting and bookkeeping, Anne is confident she can break down the numbers for you in a way you can easily understand. Anne has often been told that she has a naturally calming demeanor. So, if you have any anxiety about purchasing a new home, Anne is the person you want to deal with!
